Variety brings us a casting update on the upcoming Richard Donner ("Superman," "Timeline") thriller "16 Blocks." Already on board is Bruce Willis, who’ll be playing a veteran cop required to bring a crucial witness to a courthouse … 16 dangerous city blocks away. The smooth-talking witness will be played by recently signed Mos Def, who can be seen this weekend in "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy." The high-concept police thriller was written by Richard Wenk ("Vamp").
