Every year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presents a golden statue to the film representing cinema’s best.

Every year, the Academy’s choice joins a list that includes undisputed classics (Casablanca, The Godfather), dubious selections (The Greatest Show on Earth), and many in between.
