New Comic Book Flicks: "The Lost Squad" & "The Foundation"

And get this: Neither are from Marvel or DC!

Universal’s Rogue division is planning an adaptation of "The Lost Squad," which seems to be half war story and half horror tale. It takes place during WWII and focuses on a bunch of U.S. soldiers who do battle with Hitler’s occult villains. First-timers Stephen St. Leger and James Mather are on board to write and direct. Sounds neat.

And Paramount has purchased the movie rights to a graphic novel series that isn’t even out yet: "The Foundation" is described by Variety like so "In the tale, Nostradamus’ books of foreshadowing made him a rich man, and he took his riches and created a foundation to prevent the prophesies from happening. The comic focuses on the secret team in the present day who uses the prophet’s published and unpublished works to predict threats to the world."

Now that one sounds really neat!
