Variety brings news of a partnership between actor Jason Patric ("Rush," "The Alamo") and writer/director Matt Williams ("Where the Heart Is," "Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken"): Patric will star in Williams’ "Walker." The story is set in 1957 and the actor will play "a charming seducer and underachiever in a small town who is forced to make heartbreaking decisions to save his two daughters." The period piece was written by Williams and Alex Paraskevas. While Matt Williams might not have a lot of movies on his resume, he’s best known as the creator of sitcoms like "Roseanne" and "Home Improvement."
