It was the best of horror movies, it was the worst of horror movies! It looks like the genre will close out this decade strong as the horror renaissance continues into 2019, with already no shortage of streaming screams and theatrical terrifiers to slake your thirst for thrills, chills, and blood spills. With our list of Best Horror Movies of 2019, we present every scary movie that’s hit theaters and/or is available online, and which has at least 10 reviews, and rank them by Tomatometer. They range from the mainstream (Us, Escape Room) to indie (The Hole in the Ground, Braid) to all the madness in between. We’ll update this guide as new movies come out – check out the year’s most anticipated horror! – so use it well and never watch a bad horror film again for the rest of 2019 (though, come on, that’s part of the fun).
