…that doesn’t mean the series won’t be mined for future "stand-alone" projects, most notably the "Wolverine" spinoff and the "Magneto" semi-prequel. And I’d bet huge money that a "Next Generation X-Men" trilogy will be greenlit before too long.

Seems unlikely due to the expense involved. In many ways it now seems that "Wolverine" will serve as the unofficial fourth film sometime either in 2008 or 2009."
I suppose the Marvel Maniacs will have to keep themselves occupied with "Ghost Rider," "Spider-Man 3," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man," "Fantastic Four 2," and "Wonder Woman."
