Variety reports on what will most likely be Ron Howard‘s post-"Da Vinci Code" project. Working from a screenplay by Brian Helgeland ("Mystic River," "A Knight’s Tale"), Howard will direct "The Serpent and the Eagle," which focuses on the 1520 Spanish conquest over Mexico. Howard’s had his eye on this project for quite some time now, and he’ll be working with Paramount Pictures to bring the story to the big screen.
