Lucas on Connery's "Indy 4" Involvement

We haven’t seen much of Sean Connery since "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen," but if George Lucas has his way, the legendary actor will appear in "Indiana Jones 4." But if not, oh well.

"We have a script with him in it," he said. "If he doesn’t do it, we’ll do a quick rewrite."

That’s precisely what George Lucas said to one source, which basically means "We’d love you to be in the movie, Mr. Connery, honestly. And we’re definitely prepared to compensate an actor of your stature and experience accordingly. But don’t play hardball or hold out for some ridiculous amount of cash, because we can just as easily move forward without you and it won’t make one nickel of difference at the box office next summer."

At least that’s how I see it.
