Francis Ford Coppola‘s Buenos Aires headquarters were the target of an armed robbery on Wednesday.

The robbery, which took place while Coppola was out of the office, left the thieves in possession of a camera and some computers — computers which happened to store the script for Coppola’s next production and its backup copy. According to a report posted by Variety yesterday, “a reward is being offered for the return of the script and ‘a lot of the creative work’ on the computer.” From the article:

Coppola is preparing to shoot early next year the Argentine family saga “Tetro” with Matt Dillon toplining. Coppola, who also penned the screenplay, will produce through his American Zoetrope shingle.

Story revolves around an artistic immigrant family marred by fierce rivalries handed down through several generations.
