So far, 2020 has been unpredictable, as movie studios and the film industry at large scramble to respond to an ever-changing global crisis. In early March, it was announced that the release date of the latest James Bond film (and Daniel Craig’s final outing in the role), No Time to Die, was being postponed from April to November, and it was only a matter of time before others followed suit. Sure enough, a whole slew of films have now announced release date changes, and not all of them have pinned down exactly when they plan to open. Most recently, Walt Disney Studios pulled two of its 20th Century Studios releases from their December dates: Kenneth Branagh’s Agatha Christie adaptation Death on the Nile and the video game meta-comedy Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds.
Read on for the full list of films that have postponed their opening weekends in 2020, and be sure to check back for updates as they are announced. [Updated on 11/5/20.]
