AICN Brings Early Word on "Jesse James" and "Bee Movie"

Two movies we’ve been waiting quite a while for are "Bee Movie" and "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" — and now come some early reactions on both from the AICN crew.

As always, I refuse to read more than the first few sentences of these reports, but I dove in and found a solid quote from each one:

On "Jesse James," we get this: "And I just fell in love with this film from the start. From the god-like voiceover narration that runs over the entire movie to the attention paid to each and every shot, there are moments of sublime beauty at almost every turn in this film."

Wow. Effusive. (WB seems to have settled on a September 14 release date for "Jesse James.")

Regarding the Jerry Seinfeld animated comedy "Bee Movie," the early buzz (heh) says: "Granted, the movie was about 20% animated and otherwise had lots of storyboards, but no matter how great the movie had looked, it wouldn’t have saved it."

Well, gee. Get back to me when you have an opinion on a flick that’s 100% finished. Ugh. ("Bee Movie" opens on November 2nd.)
