Video game adaptations have certainly fared better on television than in the movies, and 2023 gave us perhaps the best one we’ve ever gotten in The Last of Us, which dominated the pop culture conversation, thrilled millions of viewers, and made fans out of people who had never even heard of the game. Not only did it win the Golden Tomato for Best New Series, but it was also the Best Horror Series we got last year.
