The Writers Guild of America announced the 2022 nominees for outstanding screenwriting on Wednesday, January 25. The feature films eligible for WGA awards had some notable absences due to the guild’s strict rules for membership, but previous WGA nominees Sarah Polley, Jordan Peele, Rian Johnson, and Oscar Best Picture frontrunner Everything Everywhere All At Once all made the cut.

This year’s nominations feel a bit anti-climactic, releasing after the previous day’s Oscar nominations, but they will offer a welcomed boom for several Oscar-nominated scripts. The race for both screenplay prizes is still fairly wide open, and a win here could truly reshape the final contest. The Television Nominations, which were announced earlier this month, are also included here, with AMC’s Better Call Saul, The Bear, and Severance leading nominations with three each.

Read on for the full list of the Writers Guild of America’s Television and Film nominees.
