As if I weren’t already geeked out enough over next summer’s "Iron Man," now comes a very cool piece of gossip / early news…
As AICN points out, the pieces seem to be (slowly) coming together on an "Avengers" movie. They’re reporting that none other than Samuel L. Jackson will have a small role in "Iron Man" — and he’ll be playing war hero turned superspy Nick Fury.
No word yet on if this’ll lead directly to a spin-off or future Fury appearances in other Marvel films, but I’ve come to the conclusion that having Marvel run their own movie division is a really cool idea!
If this turns out to be an accurate report, Mr. Jackson would be joining a cast that already includes Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, and Jeff Bridges. Not bad at all…
