Watch out, Tom CruiseBrooke Shields is bringing out the big guns. In an open letter published Friday in the New York Times, the actress called out her recent nemesis and "Endless Love" co-star for ranting against her use of anti-depressants following the birth of her daughter. Shields writes that Cruise’s well publicized suggestions that using vitamins and exercise to cure her post-partum depression are the mark of a man who doesn’t understand what it means to suffer the illness, going on to credit the doctor-prescribed drug Paxil for saving her life. Shield’s recent book, ‘Down Came the Rain,’ retells her battle with depression and sparked Cruise’s initial disapproving outburst last May.

Elsewhere, a bit of news that may terrify the hearts and minds of America — Paris Hilton and her fiancé, Greek heir Paris Latsis, have announced plans to make a horror movie. The project, which is to be filmed this September in Greece, will be produced by Paris (him) and star Paris (her); while no plot details have yet been mentioned, the pair did reveal they are currently casting. Hilton, of course, has already perfected her on-screen scream in this year’s "House of Wax." The two are also planning their recently announced nuptials, to be held in Greece — and also in Los Angeles.

And finally, for those who take their morning coffee with sugar and a splash of the bizarre, check out the latest, wackiest morning weather report performed by none other than the king of the esoteric, David Lynch. The "Mulholland Drive" director gives a streaming weather report on his website, www.davidlynch.com, where you can watch him recite back the daily temperature and climate in Los Angeles as he sits nonchalantly behind a cluttered desk. You’ve got to see it to believe it.
