The nominations for the 77th annual Golden Globes were announced on Monday, and it was a big morning for big-name directors. Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story topped the film categories with six nominations, followed by Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood with five each. On the TV front, Game of Thrones seems to have gone out with a whimper, earning just a single nomination for Kit Harington, while HBO’s Chernobyl and Netflix’s The Crown and Unbelievable all topped the TV categories with four nominations each. Plus, Apple TV+ entered the awards fray with nominations for Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Best Television Series – Drama. Netflix was the biggest-winning network, with 17 nominations overall, while HBO came in second with 15. Network TV received zero nominations.
