Emile Hirsch wan’t kidding when he said they got the car right.
USA Today has a new article about next summer’s "Speed Racer," complete with a brand-new pic of the live-action Mach 5, and a few minor tidbits from Hirsch and producer Joel Silver. Here’s a breakdown:
–Production begins next week in Germany.
–From Silver: "(The Wachowski brothers) said they’d been making R-rated movies their whole lives and wanted to do something their nephews and nieces could watch."
–The movie will have a "retro future" feel, but will also be "very bright" and "family-friendly."
–Chim-Chim will be a real chimpanzee.
