Just in time for the second-season kickoff of NBC’s Heroes comes word of more talent being added to the show’s spinoff, Heroes: Origins.
Origins, which will take over in Heroes‘ timeslot after it finishes its second season, looks to serve as a sort of farm system for the main show’s cast — but the behind-the-scenes talent lining up for the spinoff are far from minor-league material. Kevin Smith has already been confirmed to write and direct the first episode; now, from The Hollywood Reporter, comes word that Superman Returns co-writer Michael Dougherty and Hostel creator Eli Roth are also on board.
Dougherty and Roth will both write episodes for Heroes: Origins, although Roth will also direct his script. Heroes‘ second season begins tonight.
