To those who may be worried about "Borat" and his box office chances this weekend, we have some interesting statistics from ticketing website Fandango.com. (And here’s yet another opportunity to say the following: Go see "Borat" and you’ll laugh your ass off*.)

From Movie City News: "Borat" may receive a warm welcome at the box office this weekend. Fandango surveyed several thousand moviegoers planning to see the new Sacha Baron Cohen comedy and found that:

–96% of those planning to see ‘Borat" will see the movie during its opening weekend

–43% claim that the Kazakhstan government’s complaints about "Borat" have only increased their interest in seeing the movie

–24% had not heard of Kazakhstan until BORAT came along

–59% would be “very interested” in seeing Sacha Baron Cohen’s follow-up movie, "Bruno"

–The majority of respondents rank Sacha Baron Cohen at the top of their list of favorite comedic film actors…"

Click here for the full press release. Apparently more than 70% of the tickets being sold at the site are for good ol’ "Borat." Niiiice!

(*This opinion comes from Scott only, and does not necessarily represent RottenTomatoes.com as a whole … although I know that the head Tomato Farmers saw "Borat" at Cannes — and loved it.)
