Character actor David Arquette will make his directorial debut with an indie horror flick entitled "The Tripper," which he wrote with Joe "Darkness Falls" Harris. Cast members include (get this) Thomas Jane, Jaime King, Jason Mewes, Paul Reubens, and Mrs. Arquette herself: Courteney Cox.

According to Variety, "David Arquette will make his directorial debut with horror pic "The Tripper" for Coquette Prods., the shingle he runs with wife Courteney Cox. Arquette penned the screenplay with Joe Harris.

Cox and Arquette will make cameo appearances in the horror ensembler, which will star Jamie King, Thomas Jane, Jason Mewes, Lukas Haas, Paul Reubens and Balthazar Getty.

Film, which is set to begin shooting this month in Santa Cruz, revolves around a group of friends who escape to a modern-day Woodstock concert for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a fanatical killer determined to finish what he started years earlier."

This genre should prove no problem for the filmmaking couple. Wasn’t it on the set of the original "Scream" that they met and fell in looooove?
