"Super Size Me," Morgan Spurlock‘s documentary about a month-long diet of nothing but McDonald’s, is the first-ever winner of the Writer’s Guild of America’s award for documentary feature writing, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The award was presented at a ceremony at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. The category was created because the WGA said it wanted to recognize the impact of writers on nonfiction features.
