43 TV Series Reboots & Revivals by Tomatometer

When The X-Files returned to Fox in January 2016, fans were apprehensive. Would the revival hold up over time? Could it make up for the original iteration’s lackluster ninth season?

Luckily, they had nothing to worry about. Season 10 received a Fresh 64% Tomatometer score as well as stellar ratings. It’s no wonder it got another season, which premieres at 8/7C on January 3 and currently has a 100% early Tomatometer score on eight reviews.

Alas, not all reboots and revivals are created equal. While NBC’s revival of Will & Grace is Certified Fresh at 87% on the Tomatometer, the CW’s new take on Dynasty fell flat with a 53% Tomatometer score. How will ABC’s Roseanne and American Idol revivals and NBC’s reported reboot of The Office fair? The truth is out there — we’ll update this list when those scores become available.

Here are 43 series that returned from the dead and how they fared in their first new season (or TV-movie revival!) by Tomatometer.
