Wow, A "Justice League" Movie??

Now here’s a dream project that should fill the comic geeks and the movie nerds with much excitement: Warner Bros. just hired a husband-wife writing team to pen a "Justice League" movie.

Yep, we MIGHT get Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter on the big screen … together! This could be the biggest thing for DC comics movies since the original "Superman" kick-started this wonderful sub-genre back in 1978.

So here’s the FAQ:

Will it be Christian Bale as Batman and Brandon Routh as Superman? Dunno.

Will directors Christopher Nolan ("Batman Begins" and impending sequel) and Bryan Singer ("Superman Returns" and impending sequel) be involved? No idea.

Do we know for sure which heroes will be involved? Nope.

Who the heck are these writers, anyway? Kiernan Mulroney is the brother of actor Dermot Mulroney; Michele is his wife. Although they don’t have any screen credits just yet, Variety states that they impressed a lot of people with their polishing work on "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Plus they’re probably big comic book fans.

Other things we don’t know yet: Who’ll be in it, what it will be about, when it will take place in the League’s history, and whether or not the thing will cost more than $200 million to produce.

What we do know is that there will one day be a live-action "Justice League" movie — and I will be there to see it.
