Writer/director Paul Weitz will reunite with several of his old actor pals when he gets ready to shoot "American Dreamz." In a conversation with Variety, the filmmaker says "The movie examines the role of dreams and ambitions in American culture …
… It’s about what’s wrong with America and how close it is to what’s right with America." The show-biz & political satire is likely to star Hugh Grant, Chris Klein, and Dennis Quaid, all of whom have worked with Mr. Weitz before. (Grant in "About a Boy," Klein in "American Pie," and Quaid in "In Good Company.") Universal Pictures plans to get "Dreamz" underway this July.
