Back in 1976, Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil held an "open tryout" to spice up his team. Although hundreds of guys showed up, only Vince Papale ever made it onto the football field. And now Variety indicates that Walt Disney Pictures plans to turn Vince’s tale into a movie. Mark Wahlberg ("Boogie Nights," "Fear") is currently in talks to star as Mr. Papale. Cinematographer-turned-director Ericson Core will take the reins, and he’ll be working from a screenplay by Mike Rich ("Radio," "The Rookie") and first-timer Brad Gann. Although the project was previously known as "Invincible," the producers are presently looking for a new title.
