One of the most well-received narrative flicks at last year’s Toronto Film Festival was "The Notorious Bettie Page," which comes from the writing/directing team behind "American Psycho," but don’t let that fool you. She doesn’t kill anybody. Anyway, check out the trailer right here.
"The story of the super successful 1950’s pin-up model, Bettie Page, one of the first sex icons in America, and the target of a major Senate investigation–based on her highly provocative bondage photos."
Starring Gretchen Mol as the legendary pin-up queen, "The Notorious Bettie Page" comes from director Mary Harron and screenwriter Guinevere Turner. The supporting cast includes folks like Lili Taylor, David Strathairn, Cara Seymour, and Jonathan M. Woodward.
Picturehouse will release "Bettie" theatrically on April 14th; HBO gets it after that.
