Who’s in the mood for a horror movie about an evil video game that causes insanity and graphic death among those who play it? OK, I’ll throw in Frankie Muniz, Adam Goldberg, Sophia Bush, and Samaire Armstrong, just for fun. Still not sure? Then head over to MTV.com, cross your fingers that the trailer works, and hold out hope that this thing gets released with a R rating. (It won’t.)
"After the mysterious, brutal death of an old friend, a group of teenagers find themselves in possession of "Stay Alive," an ultra-realistic 3-D videogame based on the spine-chilling true story of a 17th century noblewoman known as "The Blood Countess." The gamers don’t know anything about the game other than they’re not supposed to have it… and they’re dying to play it. Hollywood Pictures (aka Buena Vista aka Disney) has 3/24 penciled in for the "Stay Alive" release date. Alas, no word on an MPAA rating so far.
