Take a Visit to the "Doom" Set

Joshua Starnes and ComingSoon.net spent some time on the set of Universal Pictures’ video-game adaptation "Doom," and those who are geekily looking forward to the beasts & bullets brigade will undoubtedly enjoy their behind-the-scenes report. (C’mon, the flick looks like good goofy fun!)

Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, the man who brought us "Exit Wounds" and "Cradle 2 the Grave," and starring the likes of Dwayne ("The Rock") Johnson, Karl Urban, and Rosamund Pike, "Doom" looks to be a chaotic, crazy time at the movies. Plus it’s rated R for violence and gore, AND the first-person-shooter perspectives seen in the trailer look pretty slick. One doesn’t expect Shakespeare, but if it’s even a slight improvement over the first "Resident Evil" flick, the genre fans will probably have a good time.

"Doom" opens on October 21st, but you can pick through the CS.net set report in the meantime.
