April is a big month for originals on Amazon Prime Video, starting with limited horror anthology series THEM, which follows a Black family who moves from North Carolina to Southern California in the 1950s and encounters terror both real and supernatural. At the end of the month catch Michael B. Jordan in the latest Tom Clancy adaptation, Without Remorse, where he plays a Navy SEAL out for justice after his pregnant wife is murdered.

There’s also original comedy Frank of Ireland, created by and starring brothers Brian and Domhnall Gleeson, on April 16, and the IMDb TV original documentary series Moment of Truth, about the murder of Michael Jordan’s father.

Since the Oscars are finally being held in April, you can also catch up on Amazon’s contenders including Sound of Metal, One Night in Miami, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, and documentary Time. All of that, plus Major League Baseball’s return on MLB.TV, which is available to subscribers via Prime Video Channels, and free movies available to all via IMDb TV.

Keep reading to find out what else is new on Amazon Prime Video and free sister service IMDb TV in April, with some highlights noted at the top.

Description: Moment of Truth tells the never-before-seen story behind the murder of Michael Jordan’s father, James Jordan, as well as the rampant corruption in a rural North Carolina county, where two teenagers, Larry Demery and Daniel Green, were charged and convicted of the crime. The docu-series examines the initial case through the current re-trial attempt by Daniel Green, who maintains his innocence.

Description: THEM is a limited anthology series that explores terror in America. The first season, set in the 1950s, centers a Black family who moves from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood during the period known as The Great Migration. The family’s idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.

Premiere Date: April 9, 2021

Description: Frank is a 33-year-old catastrophe and misanthropic fantasist in arrested development who’s convinced that the world owes him. He’s also our hero. He has a tenuous hold on reality, a single room in his mother’s home, an ex he can’t get over and a loyal best friend, Doofus. This is the hilarious story of a man’s hapless search for respect. We don’t want him to succeed, but it’s fun to watch him try.

Premiere Date: April 16, 2021

Description: An elite Navy SEAL (Michael B. Jordan) uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, the explosive origin story of action hero John Clark – one of the most popular characters in author Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan universe.
