It’s one of the most iconic video games of all time, and now Mortal Kombat returns with an all-new live-action film featuring many of your favorite characters from the game duking it out in bloody, badass battles. Rotten Tomatoes correspondent Naz Perez caught up with the entire ensemble cast of the highly anticipated action film to talk about bringing these characters to life in the modern era. Among the cast who spoke to us: Joe Taslim (Sub-Zero), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), Max Huang (Kung Lao), Josh Lawson (Kano), Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), Lewis Tan (Cole Young), Mehcad Brooks (Jax), and director Simon McQuoid. From the ancient martial arts that appear in some of the fights to the ways improv was used to balance the drama with some humor, the cast break down just how physically demanding it was to film.
