Kiyoko talks about her passion for centering queer romance in cinema and how she longed to see a hopeful future for people like her reflected in the movies. She shares how proud she is to count herself among the “small but mighty” community of women directors and shares two films directed by women who inspire her: Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet and Emerald Fennell’s Promising Young Woman.
