RT Recommends: Our Favorite Movies This Week

If you were to ask any member of our staff for a recommendation on what to watch, chances are we’d have a slew of titles to share. We’re exposed to a lot of movies here at Rotten Tomatoes, and we’re not mad about it. That’s why we’ve put together this weekly guide of films, staff picks in alphabetical order, that we recommend you check out every week.
With all eyes on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, it’s only appropriate for us to look back at some of our favorite films from the director. A few of these titles you’ll recognize right away, for example, The Dark Knight. Audiences were blessed with the film back in 2008, when Nolan delivered what is now his second-highest-rated movie of all time. Critics praised it as a masterpiece, “an incomparable crime thriller and superhero film, and an instant classic in both genres.” Also on the list is the 1997 fantasy/thriller Doodlebug. It may not have a Tomatometer score, but audiences were here for it, writing, “It was a bit weird, but yet it’s still Christopher Nolan.”
Or maybe you want to celebrate the life and career of beloved actor Sam Neill. Below you’ll find Event Horizon and Jurassic Park, both available to stream on Fandango.
Whatever you’re in the mood for, if you’re fresh out of ideas on what to watch this week and need a little help, the following list of staff favorites ranges from beloved classics to new releases. Check out the list below, and be sure to stream the RT Recommends collection on Fandango.
