What do Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle, and Djimon Hounsou have in common? According to Variety, they’ve all been signed to star in Push, an action thriller slated for a 2008 release.
The film, which is scheduled to start shooting next month in Hong Kong, will be directed by Lucky Number Slevin‘s Paul McGuigan from a script by David Bourla. The plot, according to the article, goes like this:
“Push” centers on a group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities who hide from a U.S. government agency in Hong Kong and band together to try to escape the control of the division.
Hmmm. Young girl with psychic powers…on the run from the government…who wants to lay odds on how long it’ll take some studio genius to start trying to put together a Fanning-led Firestarter remake?
