According to Variety, director D.J. Caruso ("Two for the Money," "The Salton Sea") will direct a high school thriller called "Disturbia" for executive producer Steven Spielberg.
"DreamWorks and Paramount have set one of their first projects since the companies got hitched.
D.J. Caruso will direct "Disturbia," a thriller expected to begin production by April. Steven Spielberg will exec produce.
Scripted by Christopher Landon, "Disturbia" was bought as a spec last fall by DreamWorks and Montecito Pictures partners Tom Pollock and Ivan Reitman.
Script revolves around a troubled high school senior, still grieving over his father’s death, who is sentenced to house arrest after an outburst of anger at school."
