Nothing pleases me more than the phrase "Bloody Disgusting Exclusive," and here’s a pretty solid piece of news from one of horrordom’s finest websites: The amazingly gorgeous and conveniently quite-talented Jordana Brewster (best known for her work in "D.E.B.S." and "The Fast and the Furious") will play the lead role in the upcoming (and as-yet-untitled) prequel to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Yes, it’s a prequel to a remake of a movie based on actual events.
Michael Bay‘s Platinum Dunes horror shingle hopes to get the "TCM" prequel underway before the end of the year.
The flashback sequel (which will be half origin story, half slasher mayhem, and all Leatherface all night) will be written by David Schow ("The Crow") and directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Darkness Falls").
