Bad news for those of you who are interested in the following: Short films, the work of Wes Anderson, and a minimally-clothed Natalie Portman. It appears Hotel Chavalier, the 13-minute short that has preceded Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited during its festival screenings, will not be shown when Limited hits theaters in late September.

“Oh please, oh please, release Hotel Chavalier in theaters.”

Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting that the short, starring Portman and Jason Schwartzman, will only appear during The Darjeeling Limited‘s festival run, on the internets, and when Limited is released on DVD. The short is a prequel to the film, which stars Schwartzman, Adrien Brody, and Owen Wilson as three estranged brothers who trek across India searching for spiritual enlightenment. The Darjeeling Limited opens on Sept. 29.
