The breakout indie hit in the US this year, (500) Days of Summer is an offbeat comedy starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel as an on-again, off-again couple trying to negotiate the twists and turns of a fractured relationship. The movie has struck a chord with audiences looking for a refreshing take on modern romance, and with critics — where it’s currently rating a pretty impressive 87% Certified Fresh on the Tomatometer. That’s a lot of Zooey Deschanel fans, right there.
