In the most recent trailer for season five of Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) says that she is a queen, not a butcher. But don’t worry — there appears to be plenty of butchering in season five.
Non-book and book people alike should expect big surprises in season five, per an interview with Geroge RR Martin in February. “People are going to die who don’t die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy,” Martin said. “Everybody better be on their toes. [Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] are even bloodier than I am.”
