Video: Fall TV Countdown for Oct. 30, 2015

It’s time for our weekly Fall Premieres TV Review Countdown. Here are the best (and worst) premieres for the week of Friday, Oct. 30. See how this week’s shows Wicked City, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Supergirl, and season two of The Returned stack up against each other on the Tomatometer!

    I really don’t see what critics are so jazzed over Supergirl for. They’re usually way harsher with superhero stuff, but that one is 97% with them and 53% with audiences. That’s a ridiculous spread. I have a feeling the critics must have had an agenda or something. There’s no way a show as aggressively mediocre as Supergirl could possibly score that high otherwise. I really want it to crash and burn so no more mistakes that awful are made in DC’s otherwise excellent TV line-up.

      The main score is how many would recommend the show. The actual average rating is 7.6/10 from critics, 3.2/5 for users (or 6.4/10). That’s much less of a gap than 97% vs 53%. That’s always annoyed me about RT. You can come on here and see something with a score of around 100%, but the actual average rating could be closer to 7/10, or average. Still not good. RT users tend to be some of the most liberal critics compared to say IMDB or Metacritic. When they give a low rating, you can bet it’s probably pretty bad entertainment. TV series ratings are probably a bit unfair as though. Many critics only view the first 1-4 episodes. Many of the users pass judgement after only seeing a handful of episodes as well.
