Fans of horror flicks in general and "Cabin Fever" specifically will want to scrawl a blood-red pencil around "Hostel," which is Eli Roth‘s sophomore effort … and, based on the all-new trailer, obviously a horror film of the hardcore variety.
"Presented by genre master Quentin Tarantino and taking a much more macabre tone than did Eli Roth’s feature debut "Cabin Fever," "Hostel" is an amalgamation of many of terrifying things about human nature and the world at large, culled from lots of pulpy-but-true stories of international organized crime, human trafficking, and sex tourism. Relentlessly graphic and deeply disturbing, the film is rife with explicit sex and brutal violence that may delight hard core genre fans, and prove difficult to stomach for general audiences.
Rated R for brutal scenes of torture and violence, strong sexual content, language and drug use."
Following a few successful screenings at the Toronto Film Festival, and now boasting the "Quentin Tarantino Presents" banner, "Hostel" is just about ready for its theatrical release. You can check in on December 21st. Or check the trailer right now.
