Tobey Maguire Calling It Quits After "Spider-Man 3"?

If the rumors of Sam Raimi being approached to direct "The Hobbit" are true, now might be a good time for him to bail out on New York and swing over to Middle-Earth: Tobey Maguire isn’t thinking "Oh, boy!" on the concept of more "Spider-Man" movies after the current trilogy.

As WENN tells us via IGN Movies: "This might be a good place to stop — I am not tied contractually to any more "Spider-Man" movies," Maguire said. "I am not completely closed to the idea of another one if it made sense but I would say the odds were in favor of this being the last one."

Maguire’s on-screen flame, Kirsten Dunst, echoes the sentiment: "I’m not the type of actress who does movie after movie."

Well, that’s something to throw off the ol’ Spidey Sense. Click here for the full article.

"Spider-Man 3" will hit theaters May 4th, 2007.
