See Joy Division Live With Peter Hook

Founding member of the seminal post-punk band joins Popcorn Taxi for a live Q and A screening

This one’s a must for serious music fans. Grant Gee’s excellent documentary Joy Division — which explores the personal history of Manchester’s legendary post-punk band — is returning to the big screen for a one-night-only special engagement at Popcorn Taxi in Sydney this April 20.

And we do mean “special,” because one of the band’s founding players, the inimitable Mr. Peter Hook, will be present at the screening and live on stage for an audience Q&A afterwards.

Here’s your chance to ask Hooky all about his fascinating history with Joy Division and his long tenure in New Order, the time he co-owned Manchester’s infamous Hacienda nightclub, and whether or not he’ll DJ your friend’s birthday party (maybe).

Tickets are available at Popcorn Taxi’s site, which you can access through the marvel of modern technology by clicking here.
