Variety brings us some colorful casting news from the upcoming Rob Schneider / David Spade comedy "Benchwarmers." Jared Hess (yes, "Napoleon Dynamite" himself) has signed on, joining a supporting cast that already includes Jon Lovitz and Craig Kilborn. The sports comedy details "three guys who try to make up for their lack of athleticism in school by forming a three-man baseball team to challenge youth teams." Dennis Dugan ("Happy Gilmore") is directing from a screenplay by Allen Covert ("Eight Crazy Nights") and Nick Swardson ("Malibu’s Most Wanted").
