There are two moods for ideal summer entertainment: big-budget blockbuster, and easy-to-digest fun — and luckily, Amazon Prime Video has both this July. The month kicks off with Chris Pratt’s giant sci-fi action thriller The Tomorrow War on July 2, just in time for the long weekend — when you’re full of 4th of July barbecue and need a break from the sun, a big movie starring a sometimes-superhero fighting in a future war with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance is exactly what you want.
There are also plenty of breezy TV shows to binge, from the real estate docuseries Luxe Listing Sydney on July 9 to the second season of Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn’s massive fashion design competition Making the Cut on July 16. There’s also the first eight episodes of IMDbTV’s long-awaited revival of Leverage, titled Leverage: Redemption, which sees the gang of cons righting some major wrongs against everyday citizens.
