James Cameron staple actor Michael Biehn ("Terminator," "Aliens," "The Abyss") must be happy that the director is coming back to narrative filmmaking with "Avatar." It’s likely to be a reunion between the actor and Oscar winner.
"I’ve had a couple meetings with Jim on that role," Biehn said. "Those meetings took place about four months ago. I’m still in the mix as far as I know. I haven’t been offered it."
Though some websites report more detailed info, Biehn says himself that it’s still up to Cameron. "There’ve been a lot of people on the internet like Harry Knowles of aintitcoolnews.com and some other sites that have said that they have sources saying that they know that I’m doing it but so far I haven’t heard from Jim. I’ve got my fingers crossed."
Even if he doesn’t get the part, Biehn will be a fan. "That’s going to be amazing. It’s basically "Lawrence of Arabia" in space if you can imagine that."
