L.A. Film Critics Awards: Spotlight Is Best Picture

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association announced the winners of the 2015 LAFCA Awards on Sunday, naming Spotlight Best Picture of the year. Each December, LAFCA members vote on the year’s Achievement Awards, honoring screen excellence on both sides of the camera. Plaques of recognition are presented to winners during LAFCA’s annual ceremony, held in mid-January.

Best Screenplay: Josh Singer and Tom McCarthy, Spotlight (2015) 97%

Best Cinematography: John Seale, Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) 97%

Best Editing: Hank Corwin, The Big Short (2015) 89%

Best Foreign-Language Film: Son of Saul (2015) 96%

Best Animation: Anomalisa (2015) 92%

Best Documentary: Amy (2015) 96%

Best Music Score: Carter Burwell, Anomalisa (2015) 92% & Carol (2015) 94%

Best Production Design: Colin Gibson, Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) 97%
