RT Users Crown Game of Thrones the Greatest HBO Original Series Ever

After six intense rounds, the popular fantasy series based on the novels of George R.R. Martin came away with a decisive victory in the final match-up.

After six intense rounds of voting, we finally have our winner in the HBO Original Series Showdown, and thanks to all of you who voted, Game of Thrones has officially taken the crown as the Greatest HBO Original Series! In the end, the final match-up between GoT and Westworld wasn’t particularly close, with the former taking a whopping 74% of the vote and reaffirming the immense popularity of the fantasy series, even despite the final season’s massive dip in both critical (58% on the Tomatometer) and audience reception (31% Audience Score). All things considered, Westworld made it much farther in the bracket than we here at RT expected, especially paired up against classic heavy hitters like Deadwood, Veep, and The Wire, but that’s exactly why we run these brackets: it’s fun to see how the final results upend our expectations.
