Favreau's Pretty Pumped About "Iron Man" Start

by | March 7, 2007 | Comments

Actor turned tentpole-maker Jon Favreau is just about to get rolling on "Iron Man" production, so he stopped by his MySpace page to give the Marvel fans a quick little update.

Here’s what we got:

1. There’s still some casting left to be done, pre-production rehearsals are going well, a few minor rewrites are being done.

2. Favreau heads up to ILM next week, that lucky S.O.B.

3. Apparently Jeff Bridges‘ character will have a haircut that longtime Marvel fans will recognize.

4. Favreau refuses to overuse his CGI toys. He’s hoping Stan Winston‘s armor suit will be effortlessly integrated in the more elaborate visuals. (This is great news; nothing’s worse than an FX movie that over-relies on the CGI stuff.)

5. With a year of preparation under his belt, Jonny’s all ready to roll on this "daunting" project.

Me, I can’t wait.
