Empire Magazine has a chat with Eva Mendes concerning her upcoming movie, "Ghost Rider." She told the magazine that the script is being worked on, with a new writer coming onboard to polish the script. She wouldn’t reveal who the new writer is but did say the concept art is "amazing" and that it made her "feel like a little kid." As to why she signed on for this project, besides the cash and the movie being high-profile, she said it was a moment of levity between her and the director involving Peekytoe crab at the restaurant Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. They had so much fun laughing at the entree’s name that they figured they "had to work with each other." Eva Mendes can currently be seen starring opposite Will Smith in the romantic comedy, "Hitch." "Ghost Rider," starring Nicolas Cage as the title character, is shooting for a spring 2006 release. Mark Steven Johnson is directing.
