David Yates, the man who directed this summer’s "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," has signed on to direct the next chapter as well.
He might not have many big-budget credits to his name, but Mr. Yates seems to have a strong enthusiasm for the "Potter" series, and he says all the kinds of things that the hardcore fans will love to hear: "I am doing Half-Blood Prince, and I’m doing it because I love the world, I love the characters … I think I have more business with this world and these characters … I’m on a journey with this material and this world, and I’m keen to complete it."
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is presently shooting for a late 2008 release date. Chapter five hits theaters on July 13th. Chapter seven hits bookstores on July 21st.
